Patent protection has been applied for on technology in the VYS Tacho apps. This page sets out which applications are pending, so that anyone can verify it. The applicant is Vys Group B.V.

What this means
Priority is established as of the filing date. From that date we can rely on the application against later developments by third parties, even though no patent has been granted yet. An EU patent application is also pending as of the same date.
Anyone developing or offering technology in this field would do well to take this into account. The full application texts are published by the Netherlands Patent Office eighteen months after the filing date. Until then we do not publish their contents.
Trade marks and other rights
In addition to these applications, copyright and database rights apply to the software, the simulator and the training material of VYS Tacho. The name VYS and the associated logos are used as a trade name.
