The digital tachograph simulator
Practice the digital tachograph without a truck. The VYS Tacho simulator mirrors the VDO DTCO 4.1b and the Stoneridge SE5000 (Smart Tacho 2) 1:1: card insertion, manual entry, driving and rest times, warnings, menus and printouts. In the browser and as an app, in 20 languages.
Learning to operate a real tachograph normally needs a truck and time. With this simulator you do exactly the same actions on your phone or laptop: the display fonts and pictograms are taken 1:1 from the manufacturer manuals and the menus, messages and flows follow the official manual step by step. Ideal for driver training, Driver CPC and drivers who want to master the tacho.
What you can practice
Two real devices
The VDO DTCO 4.1b and the Stoneridge SE5000 (Smart Tacho 2), each on a photo-realistic mockup with working buttons, display and paper strip.
Inserting and withdrawing the card
Driver card in slot 1, the reading bar, the last-withdrawal screen, the country selection on withdrawal and the company card in slot 2.
Manual entry
The complete follow-up entry of rest, work and availability after an interruption, with begin and end country, exactly as the manual describes it.
Driving and rest times live
Continuous driving time with the warnings at 4h15 and 4h30, daily driving time of 9 or 10 hours, the 45-minute break or the split 15+30, and the daily rest.
Day planner with real routes
Build a whole working day: stops with arrival and departure times, real distances between real places, breaks and daily rest. The planner checks the plan against the law first and then plays the day on the tachograph itself.
Borders, loading and ferry
Country at start and end, border crossing, loading and unloading with a GPS position, ferry or train and OUT of scope: exactly the records an inspector sees on the printout.
Messages with fault codes
Speeding, driving without a card, power interruption, sensor fault and more, blinking until you press OK, with the original fault code.
Fine overview per country
Every violation lands in an overview with an indication of the amount in the country of your language, so you see what a mistake costs in practice.
Workshop card and calibration
The workshop card with PIN, pairing the KITAS sensor and calibration mode with the service menus, as in the workshop manual.
Menus and every printout
The complete menu according to the manual and every printout (24 hours card and vehicle, events, technical data, speed) on a real paper strip.
In your language, anywhere
Switchable to 20 languages, in the browser and as an iOS and Android app. Nothing to install to start.
