Tach’oClock: the tacho timer on your phone

Shows on your phone what the tachograph is doing and when your break or rest is due. An aid for making use of the sixty-second rule, and with that a replacement for the physical Tachotimer 3 devices.

The remote function currently works only with a VDO DTCO 4.1a or 4.1b running software version 04.01.40 or higher; versions below .40 do not work. With a Stoneridge you set the tachograph to rest yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Is a tacho timer legal?
The minute rule itself is laid down in Regulation (EU) 1266/2009 and is simply the way a digital tachograph records. Using that rule is not the same as manipulating the tachograph. Whether an aid fits your situation is for you and your employer to judge.
Does the app put the tachograph on rest by itself?
Only if you switch that on. The remote function is off by default and works only after pairing.
Does this replace a Tachotimer 3?
Yes, that is exactly what it is for: the same function, on the phone you already carry.
